Hello, Ben here! Thanks for visiting. Unfortunately, my site is in a state of flux whilst being I'm restructuring and moving hosting sites. I have quite a lot of new work to get sharing from the last 6 months or so, including three short films, lots of digital content, and some exciting new projects I can't discuss just yet. But as a result, some films may be offline and some pages will feel unfinished.
If you want to know more, view a film that isn't available, or want to discuss anything, please do contact me either at the bottom of the page or using the email link in the top right of screen.
Thanks again, and hope you like some of my work.

Ben is a Bristol-based editor with over a decade of experience in short form, digital campaigns, children’s animation, and documentary. He approaches every project with emotion and story at the heart of his decision-making, ensuring each cut has intent and impact. Since the end of 2023, he has been focusing on progressing his career in narrative editing, having cut a feature film, six shorts, and two episodes of a behind-the-scenes sports documentary series. Building on this momentum, Ben is now steering his career towards long-form work.
You can see what he cut in 2024, his showreel, and more about his career below. They're a little out of date, but a new showreel is currently in the works — so keep your eyes peeled.
If you'd like to see more recent work, do get in touch.
Ben is highly versatile, having cut for drama, documentary, children’s television, wildlife, comedy, music, trailers, commercials, and branded campaigns. He has worked with companies including Netflix, BBC, Disney, HBO, Aardman, Silverback Films, NatGeo, WWF, and BFI, as well as comedians such as Tom Davis and Simon Brodkin.
His drama short 'Boys Like You' recently finished a highly successful festival run, qualifying for both BAFTA and BIFA consideration, winning multiple awards, and earning high praise from Shane Meadows: “A sawn-off shotgun of a short that leaves you craving more. A short but potent cinematic punch to the guts.” Before that, his horror short 'Hungry Joe' qualified for BAFTA and Oscar consideration, won multiple international awards, and was described by Short of the Week as “one of the UK’s great modern horror shorts.” It is now in development as a feature.
In factual and natural history, Ben was part of the team awarded Best Short Form Limited Series at Jackson Wild for the 'How To Save Our Planet' online content, which accompanied Netflix’s David Attenborough: Our Planet. He is also often trusted with large-scale responsibility, having been the sole editor of CBeebies’ Love Monster Series 3 (26 episodes), the 30-minute St Lucia special of JoJo and Gran Gran, and in shaping the style, structure, and animatics of SkyKids’ Dino Club.
Ben is experienced with tackling sensitive issues, collaborating on projects focusing on FGM, social inequality, immigration, male suicide prevention, sexual harassment in schools, and the celebration of the female form. When possible, he tries to work on productions that he feels are making a difference, and giving a voice to those less fortunate.
He is skilled in cutting engaging, fast-paced digital content for social media and as companion pieces to major television series. His work showcases an ability to respond to contemporary trends and cut creatively, while never losing sight of story and emotion.
Ben is often commended for his collaborative nature, creative problem-solving in the edit suite, and clear communication. He prides himself on working quickly and efficiently while always hitting deadlines, going the extra mile, and keeping every project highly organised and professional.
He is proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, Avid Media Composer, and Final Cut Pro, and regularly uses After Effects and Photoshop with the intent to learn, and widen his skillset. He has additional experience overseeing post-production workflows as post-producer, online editor, QC lead, and deliverables manager.
Alongside client work, Ben lectures at college, undergraduate, and postgraduate level. Outside of the edit suite, he pursues 35mm photography, long-distance running, and screenwriting. He is able to work remotely with a full edit setup at home, or in-house - always keen to collaborate in environments that he believes are most conducive to creating the best work possible.
Thank you!
